PROLONGED CASUALTY CARE
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The aim of the Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) course is to teach evidence-based and practice-proven techniques and skills related to prolonged field care of an injured patient. Clinical practice guidelines and educational materials for PCC are overseen by the PCC Work Group, which is part of the Defense Committee on Trauma, established under the Joint Trauma System of The Department of Defense Military Health System Centers of Excellence.
COURSE TYPE:
Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) is a course designed for medical personnel of security and armed forces, including physicians, nurses, and paramedics, deployed in operations and direct service duties or supporting such activities, with knowledge at least at the level of TCCC – CMC or TCCC – CPP. The duration of the course is non-stop 7 days / 168 hours.

Accommodation and meals: accommodation provided at the course venue; meals individually arranged
Required equipment: notebook + writing supplies, tactical clothing/older clothing/work uniform and weather-appropriate footwear, tactical equipment (helmet, plate carrier, duty/combat belt), sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlamp, multitool/scissors/knife, etc.
Material and technical support of the course: medical consumables, tactical accessories, equipment, training aids, and others
Course staffing: AEM instructors with extensive experience in tactical and combat medicine and austere/remote medicine
Certification: upon successful completion, all participants will receive a Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) and Trauma Hemostatis and Oxygenation research (THOR) certificate
SAFETY CONDITIONS AND PARTICIPANT DECLARATION:
The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation in the course to individuals under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances, as well as to individuals who are members or supporters of organizations or movements promoting extremism, terrorism, violence, or any form of racial, religious, or other intolerance.
The Provider further reserves the right to refuse participation or to exclude, without refund, any individual whose behavior, communication, or conduct involves hate speech, incitement to discrimination, degradation of other persons or institutions, disruption of a professional environment, or conduct incompatible with the principles of a safe, respectful, and professional educational setting. In such cases, the participant shall not be entitled to a refund of the course fee.
The Participant acknowledges that the course may include physically and psychologically demanding activities, stress-based scenarios, realistic injury simulations, handling of medical or tactical equipment, movement in outdoor terrain, training under limited or night-time lighting conditions, and other activities associated with an increased level of risk.
Participation in the course is voluntary and undertaken at the Participant's own responsibility. The Participant declares that they are physically and mentally fit to attend the course and acknowledge the potential risk of injury or other harm arising in connection with participation, unless such harm is demonstrably caused by the intentional misconduct of the Provider.
The Provider shall not be liable for damage or injury resulting from the Participant's failure to follow safety rules or instructor instructions, improper or unauthorized use of equipment, or circumstances constituting force majeure. The Participant will be informed without undue delay of any force majeure circumstances.
The Participant is obliged to comply with the instructions stated in the course description on the website and with all instructions given by instructors and organizational staff throughout the duration of the course.
